Going to the Zoo

Let’s go to the zoo!

We went to the zoo to see a kangaroo, an elephant, a tiger, a lion…

Animals are different: some are big, others are small, some are exotic, others are ordinary, some eat meat, and others eat only vegetables and plants!!! Wow, we learned a lot!

To start with, we saw a video which shows some animals and says some strange characteristics: “Elephants swing through trees”. Oh oh… Students realized the song tried to confuse them, but they’re very smart!

Students also listened to stories and songs about animals, talked about their preferences, looked for some animals around the school, drew them… By the way, can you make an elephant using your hand?

After learning a lot about animals, they were ready to go to the zoo. On the bus, they fastened their seatbelts and sang songs. Walking in zoo was amazing… Do you know which animals we saw there? Lots!!! Noisy macaws, playful monkeys, snakes, a tapir swimming fast, but the lion… lazy lion!!! It didn’t wake up!!!

Vamos ao zoológico!

Os animais são diferentes: alguns são grandes, outros pequenos, uns são exóticos, outros são comuns, alguns comem carne, outros só vegetais e plantas! Uau, aprendemos muito!
Para começar, assistimos a um vídeo que mostra alguns animais e fala sobre algumas características estranhas: “Elefantes balançam nas árvores”. Opa... Os alunos logo perceberam que a música tentava confundí-los, mas eles são muito espertos!
Os alunos também ouviram histórias e músicas sobre animais, falaram sobre suas preferências, viram animais pela escola, desenharam... Aliás, você sabe fazer um elefante usando sua mão?

Depois de aprender sobre os animais, as crianças estavam prontas para ir ao zoológico. No ônibus, apertaram os cintos e cantaram músicas. Passear no zoológico foi fantástico! Você sabe quais animais vimos? Muitos!!! Araras barulhentas, macacos brincalhões, cobras, uma anta que nada muito rápido, mas o leão... tão preguiçoso!!! Ele nem acordou!!!
